Algeria

Algeria is one of those countries that are somewhat off the beaten track, touristically. However, it is a very interesting country, a former part of the Roman Empire in the first century AD, and the capital of Tilamsun Empire in the 13th to 15th centuries. As a result, the coastal portion has well-preserved remains from ancient times and the country seems to be opening up for increased tourism. We have added new motorways to our map and have changed certain place names (such as Alger for Algiers) to reflect current usage, so this map is a significant upgrade to anything available from other publishers. We have also added a Top Attractions list and an inset map of Alger.
