The World of Vibeke Klint celebrates the career of the great Danish Weaver, Vibeke Klint, spanning over half a century. The book provides an insight into a craft and workshop life that is almost non-existent in Denmark, and presents for the first time a selection of Vibeke Klint`s sketches, watercolours and weaving samples, which give an impression of her working methods.
Vibeke Klint developed her textiles in close dialogue between her watercolours, materials and the weaving craft. In a age when craft is challenged, we can all learn and find inspiration from the story of an artist who had craft as her focal point.
The book is created by weaver and artisan Gitte-Annette Knudsen, weaver for Vibeke Klint from 2003-2008.
